Nokia Betalabs has come out Nokia Java Runtime for S60 is a re-written Java mobile execution environment for Nokia S60 platform devices. It gives several usability and performance improvenments with;

- Improved application launch user experience
- Improved execution performance
These improvements allow more smoother and faster response of the thousands games and apps that can be found in Ovi Store and the S60 apps & games developers.
Nokia has made a major changes under the hoods with Java RunTime will be developed and released independently from S60 release. Means that you will able to get the latest version directly to your phone by using the built-in Nokia Software Update.
This JRT 2.0 has tested and works fine with S60 5th Edition; Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and Nokia N97.
