TheNokiaBlog has demoed Metrotube on the Nokia Lumia 800. MetroTube is a native YouTube app for Windows Phone as the so called official app for Windows Phone would direct you to mobile YouTube website.

The MetroTube user experience is very impressive and work snappy although this is still a beta.

The Metrotube user experience is incredible. The developers must be Youtube addicts because they know exactly what features are needed. When you reach the end of a list, Metrotube will automatically load more videos. This happens quickly, too. You can change the categories or timeline when browsing through videos. You can share links to videos on Twitter or Facebook. You can pin your favorite videos to the Start screen. Videos continue to play in the backqround even when you're browsing the owner's related videos. You can play videos in 720p, 360p, or 240p.

The options seem endless and I'm only talking about the beta! Metrotube is a great app and I think you'll like it a lot more than the useless official Youtube app for Windows Phone. If you want to test the beta, try getting in touch with the developers at metrotubeapp.com. Tell them we sent you!
Let's go through on the app by Mark Guim from TheNokiaBlog

UPDATE! MetroTube is now available to download in Market Place for 0.99 USD for limited time. You still can have unrestricted, unlimited and ad-free on trial version. The premium version allows HD video streaming, early access to new features, chameleon tiles adapt to phone theme and warm fuzzy feeling for supporting developers.
